“Tonight’s menu is rice, pasta, sweet and sour chicken…..and there’s cakes and fruit salad over here if you would also like some!” Edward Loong a volunteer who has been with the organisation for seven years, yells as he chats with regulars who line up beside the van filled with five star options. With a crowd of almost two hundred there was no problems, except for John with his coke bottle and stumble in his step slurring loudly above the sounds of hungry bellies.

As a multi-million dollar restaurateur he was not going to start just any ‘soup kitchen’ but what he proudly calls a ‘five star restaurant under the stars.’ Volunteer chefs prepare a four course meal for over four hundred on their site in Rozelle and is nothing short of a banquet served at one of Gambin’s top Sydney restaurants.

Contemplating a bad business deal one night, Jeff Gambin sat on a park bench in Sydney’s CBD, when a homeless man mistaking him as destitute gave him his most prized possession, a blanket. This simple act of generosity prompted Jeff to start ‘Just Enough Faith.’ The organisation supplies food to people who live on the streets and to give them just enough faith to last another day.
